- In the association between the number of teeth and the incidence of hip fractures, the most predictive method of counting teeth used sound teeth and filled teeth.
- In predicting hip fractures, the number of sound teeth and filled teeth was crucial, while the number of decayed teeth may have a minimal impact.
- Our findings suggest that older women with tooth loss are a potential screening target for the prevention of hip fractures in the general population.
