About Japan Young Epidemiologists Network
Welcome to the website for Japan Young Epidemiologists Network (J-YEN)!
J-YEN has been a hub for early career epidemiologists in Japan with active communications at both formal and informal style gatherings. J-YEN has provided many opportunities for socializing events including face-to-face meetings, seminars, workshops, get-together events, and so on since its establishment in 1996 to support and encourage epidemiologists in early stages of their career. Currently, more than 250 early career epidemiologists are active members of J-YEN.
We communicate among members using a mailing list. New members from any fields are always welcome!
At the 21st International Epidemiological Association (IEA), World Congress of Epidemiology 2017 (21 August, 2017 at Saitama, Japan), we held a session entitled "Early career epidemiologists- current activity and future development-" in collaboration with early career epidemiologists in IEA. J-YEN is managed voluntarily by more than 20 early career epidemiologists from various regions, organizations, and research fields in Japan.
